Ordered the DVD Coronation Concert yesterday. Hopefully it will arrive before end of next weekend - Bank Holiday weekend.
My boss asked me if I managed to book your tickets. Told him - yes, 6th Dec. He then asked - Are you taking a few days off holiday going to see Andre? Company policy no holiday in Dec (office will close for 2 wks). I said - no need as it will be in London. Told him about you briefly & your Coronation Concert. He said - big news on radio, by invitation to hold an 2 hrs concert for the King & Queen on this historic event to celebrate the occasion, Andre must be thrilled knowing that the whole world would be watching. He will then be given a Title. I said - Already given "Knight Rieu" many year ago.

Hi Andre, Looking forward to receiving the Coronation Dvd, I managed to catch an hour of it "live" so can't wait to see the rest and also all the additions of the build-up on the day. Wishing you love and happiness for your concert tomorrow in Vienna, although I have been to many of your concerts I would LOVE to see you and the JSO in Vienna - I will keep dreaming and I'm sure it will come true. Dear Andre
On July 5th this year, my father, a Dutchman whose family immigrated to Australia 60 years ago, will be celebrating his 75th birthday by flying over from Perth to see your concert in Maastricht. I shall be flying in to join him from Geneva and one of my sisters will be coming over from Inverness.
My father lost his second wife to cancer last year, having lost my mother to the same disease 30 years ago, and your music has since brought him tremendous comfort. Dad and his late wife saw you in Melbourne several years ago and the prospect of seeing you in your hometown has given Dad a much needed something to look forward to. For that we are eternally grateful.
Dad tends to shed a tear or two when he's happy. There will be laughter and tears in the front rows on July 5.

I am thrilled that you have also released Rieu Royale: Andre Rieu Coronation Concert in Amsterdam as a BLUE RAY! I ordered the DVD yesterday so ordered the Blue Ray today: a friend will have the joy of receiving the DVD! I listen to the Rieu Royale CD most days and it still sends shivers down my spine; its stunning! Looking again at your beautiful 'family archive' photos it occurred to me that never in your wildest dreams could you have ever imagined that one day you would not only compose a special piece of music, but also be invited to hold a 'Coronation Concert' and play it, in honour of the new King of the Nederlands! Going to one friday and saturday and having our own sunday.
So going to your concert its out of the question :-(

Not only on the dvd but the whole day and to see the pride you have for your country and to see all the emotions that day and to be able to share that with you. Well all I can say is Thankyou Andre'. Am counting down the days now to Maastricht and your concert ON MY BIRTHDAY, wow how could I miss that! We are very much looking forward to coming again to Maastricht, we came last year but did not have much time and stayed at Valkenburg. Hope to see your castle and have a good tour around and see all the sights of your very historic city. Just keep doing what you are doing, you bring such joy to us everyday.

I watched the Coronation of now King Willem and Maxima and was enthralled with all I saw - not forgetting the concert in the evening. Thank you for producing a DVD for us all to enjoy and to keep as a souvenir - I have just ordered it.
